Job Description

TOur client, one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada, has an immediate need for an IT Technical Analyst -Compliance. This is a contract position for one (1) year located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Description

IT Technical Analyst in this role will be working in the Cybersecurity and Compliance team, to assist in technical support.

Accountabilities

• Collaborate with outsourced service providers to troubleshoot, investigate and resolve day to day issues to ensure that operational requirements are met.
• Manage technology service requests by reviewing and approving requests according to pre-determined processes and standards to ensure accurate and timely delivery of requirements to end users across the organization.
• Contribute to IT infrastructure projects including technology refresh, upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives to consistently deliver quality services to the organization.
• Research, analyse, review, and update operational process and infrastructure environment documentation to contribute to infrastructure process optimization at
• Assist with infrastructure asset management by monitoring hardware and software usage, issues, and resolution to ensure availability of required infrastructure services.
• Assist in change coordination activities by coordinating multiple teams and service providers in infrastructure-related initiatives so that changes are implemented as planned.

Required

• 1 year of work experience with good working knowledge in IT infrastructure technology concepts including data centre, system management, end point devices, virtualization, storage, security, and mobile device support and management
• Bachelor\'s degree, technical diploma, or certificate in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, Information -Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Good working knowledge in third party vendor management
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
• Excellent communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Additional Information

• Candidates need to be in the lower mainland as they will be working a Hybrid Schedule of 2 days in the office
