IT Support Technician Longhurst Consulting requires an experienced IT professional that thrives in a strong service-oriented role. Preferably with a minimum of 5 years of experience and the ability to support multiple clients, you will bring your skills to ensure client support requests are responded to and resolved. Being part of a strong team, issues can be brought forward for internal support or escalated.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers
Create a relationship of trust with clients
Provide consistent service to clients to develop the feeling of dependability
Perform site maintenance to expectations set out in the Longhurst Service Level Agreement
Take responsibility for all assigned service requests
Ensure clients always have an active backup system
Consistently update time sheets daily

Outstanding analytical and organizational ability with a focus towards detailed and precise documentation
Able to manage difficult client support situations

Working Experience/Qualifications:
5+ years systems support experience in a hands-on technical role
University Degree or College Diploma (preferred)
Microsoft Certification(s) in Microsoft Azure, 365, Server, and/or Desktops (strongly preferred)
Experience with ticketing systems, remote management software, and cloud based management applications.
IT consulting / Managed Service Provider experience
Networking certifications an asset, such as CompTIA Network, CISCO CCNA or CCIE
Competent Abilities to Work With:
Microsoft 365, including SharePoint
Cloud services (Azure, Amazon Web Services, other)
Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 8.1/10/11
Virtualization Technologies
Wireless LAN
Active Directory/Group Policy Administration
Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019, SQL Server 2012 (or later)
Firewall Technologies (Including but not limited to WatchGuard, Meraki, SonicWall)
Backup Applications, including monitoring and management (Datto, Veeam, and Windows Server Backup)
Desktop Support ? Applications/Virus Removal/Mobile Devices, and Office 2013/2016/2019/365
Workstations, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, scanners, AIO support
