ABOUT THE ROLE The IT Support Technician, Commercial will serve as our in-house IT Technician mainly at The City of Lougheed. The successful candidate will serve two functions within the company. Firstly, they will be responsible for coordination between the company and external vendors and contractors. Secondly, they will be the main point of contact for commercial tenants and administrative support offices on site. We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of IT equipment and associated software for commercial and residential spaces on site. This role will report to Manager, Commercial IT. Primary Job Responsibilities
Provide Tier/Level 1 technical support to computers, networks, and systems
Troubleshoot and gather information to resolve network, computer, and system issues
Manage and maintain networks and computer systems
Coordinate and document Network Port Connections, Activation, and Deactivation
Assist external contractors to fix onsite systems such as Network connections, Audio Visual, CCTV, Digital Signage
Provide coordination and ground support to contractors for access and support work
Prepare and maintain documentation for systems and configurations
Perform regular site audit and check for systems and devices such as network, UPSes, AV, etc.
Provide technical support assistance and coordination for events requiring technology
Provide day-to-day administrative and operational technology support to property and facility management offices
Provide administrative oversight of all access control break/fix requests with our 3rd party integrator
Provide onsite computer and user IT onboarding/offboarding/orientation
Provide Support and Coordination for Office relocations
Verify installation, user security access, and maintenance of equipment deployed by external vendor
Participate in technical the implementation and deployments systems
QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong troubleshooting, coordination and communication skills
In-depth knowledge of Network/Router/Switch/Wireless \xe2\x80\x93 Cisco/HP/Ubiquiti/Meraki/Fortinet
Strong knowledge of Audio, Video, CCTV, and Door Access systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and the ability to multi-task
Team-oriented, motivated, and collaborative
Ability to work independently with a strong sense of work ethics
Ability to work some shift work, including working weekends as needed
Required Training and Experience
3+ years of work experience in networking technologies such as enterprise routers, switches, wireless access points, VLANs and Routing
Valid BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license is required
Salary Range: $70,000-75,000
