IT Support Specialist - Full-Time

Position Overview



Blueshift Computer Technology Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist

to join our dynamic team. This onsite role is based in Calgary, AB, and requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring seamless IT operations for our end-users. Key Responsibilities



Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide efficient technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

System Upgrades:

Execute hardware, software, and network upgrades to enhance performance and efficiency.

Operating System Support:

Support Windows and Mac operating systems for a diverse user base.

Hardware and Peripheral Maintenance:

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, printers, networking devices, and peripherals.

Account Management:

Set up and manage user accounts across Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory.

Office 365:

Support Office 365 applications and assist with user productivity.

Network Management:

Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN technologies, including Cisco and Sophos devices, wireless systems, VPNs, and firewalls.

Backup Management:

Implement and manage local NAS and cloud-based backup solutions.

Security Management:

Apply best practices for cybersecurity, including antivirus and anti-phishing measures.

Ticket Management:

Track support requests efficiently using our Help Desk system (experience with ConnectWise is an asset).

System Deployment:

Image and deploy workstations, ensuring standardization.

Training and Support:

Provide user training to enhance the effective use of technology resources.

A/V Support:

Set up and maintain A/V systems for seamless presentations.

Network Design & WiFi Implementation:

Design and deploy scalable, reliable network and WiFi solutions.

On-Call Support:

Participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hours technical issues.

Qualifications



Must-Have:



Bachelor's degree, Technical School graduate, or equivalent IT experience. Minimum

4+ years of hands-on IT support experience

. Advanced skills in configuring and troubleshooting Windows 10/11. Strong knowledge of managed switching and network infrastructure (LAN/WAN technologies). Proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Azure AD. Active Directory (AD) user management and Group Policy Management. Familiarity with Microsoft Server 2012 and above. Possession of a valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.

Nice-to-Have:



Certifications in networking, server, desktop, Azure, or Office 365. Hands-on experience with Cisco and Sophos networking devices. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. Knowledge of VoIP unified communication platforms (internal or cloud-based). Background in antivirus and security best practices. Familiarity with Help Desk ticketing systems like ConnectWise.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
