Transdev Canada is hiring a full-time IT Specialist (Term Contract) in Calgary to support our western locations.
Your role:
Ensure timely acknowledgement of all tickets (within defined SLA).
Prioritize and resolve tickets based on severity and business impact.
Escalate issues to other teams or vendors as needed and follow up until closure.
Track and report on ticket metrics, including average response and resolution times.
Assist with the Transdev IT Ticket queue for Western Canada.
Maintain and monitor network infrastructure (Fiber network, routers, switches); troubleshoot outages, performance issues, and connectivity problems.
Manage cabling and cable organization for the network.
Manage and troubleshoot telephony and IVR systems (messages, queues, alerts, accounts, and workflows).
Support and troubleshoot radio communication systems including vehicle Mobile Data Terminals.
Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and printers.
Configure, maintain, and monitor all Windows Server systems.
Provide after-hours support for users and clients as the primary point of contact
Perform other administrative or technical tasks as required

Your profile:
You possess a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
You have high level knowledge of the Microsoft Networking and Active Directory principles.
You have experience managing a ticketing system, including queue monitoring, SLA adherence, and reporting.
You have high level knowledge of Azure and general network infrastructure (routers, switches).
You can work extended hours as needed including acting as primary after hours contact on a regular schedule.
You are able to learn new technology and/or functional areas quickly and thoroughly.
You are able to work in a team environment, while being self-directed to accomplish tasks individually.
You are able to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
You have exceptional customer service skills and professional telephone manners.
You have good time management skills ensuring the completion of numerous tasks throughout the day.

Work hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 - 17:00 (flexible during office hours).
Willingness to work extended hours if needed.
Physically able to work in small spaces to perform cable management, server, workstation, and other hardware repairs.
