This role is responsible for managing a global portfolio of software development talent. Recruit, hire, retain, and staff teams to accommodate product need, technical expertise, and individual growth. Team members will be a combination of full-time employees and external resources. The manager will establish the best practices and own the Software Development practice. She/He will ensure that all resources are delivering solutions that meet our quality standards. Interface closely with internal customers, architects, product owners and project leaders to deliver and support applications and solutions. This role can be based either in Dudelange, Luxembourg or Bolton, Canada. Responsibilities

• Coordinate software development activities through the SDLC
• Own responsibility for delivering resilient outcomes to a high degree of quality by managing risk factors and ensuring proper QA efforts are applied
• Manage resource allocation across concurrent delivery streams and competing priorities
• Propose, implement, enhance and monitor software development standards, processes, and metrics along with best practices and corresponding tooling
• Own responsibility for troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
• Set goals and objectives for the team and make sure they are met
• Provide ongoing guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members
• Hire, onboard, and train new developers (internal and external)

Qualifications

• University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or computer related field
• 10+ years of experience in the SDLC with 5+ years in a leadership capacity
• Experience in designing and developing scalable and highly available solutions with Azure Cloud Services (experience with other cloud platform are an asset)
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft .NET technology stack
• Web-based application development, including Azure hosted applications, web services, session management, and security principles
• Proven experience in CI/CD platforms and tools, such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Git
• Server-side frameworks such as Java, ASP, ASP.NET Core
• Relational and document-oriented database skills (SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience practicing agile software development methodologies
• Experience in building and implementing integrations in a hybrid cloud environment
• Familiarity with quality assurance concepts, and product release processes
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Proactive approach to problem-solving
• Systematic approach and focus on problem identification and resolution
• Excellent team coordination, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Fluent in English, additional language skills considered an asset
