Position: Software Development Manager (SaaS)

Texada Software is seeking their first Software Development Manager. In this critical role, the Manager will be responsible for architecting enterprise technical solutions and lead a team of talented and driven developers.

In this key role, you will ensure our infrastructure is stable, and secure. This role reports into the Head of Product and Engineering and has responsibility for 3 development teams. Additionally, this role works closely with QA, operations, and product in tackling new challenges and moving the new and enhanced products forward.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, out-of-the-box thinking leader who is proactive in innovation and software improvement. We can teach you what you need to know about our products and customers; we just need you to bring it your "all."

Location: While this is a fully remote position, we are seeking candidates from the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas for occasional onsite team meetings.

How you will be contributing

• Be the overarching leader/voice of engineering teams
• Architect solutions for our enterprise applications
• Define the team strategy and roadmap for the adoption of developer tools and test infrastructure for one or more products.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation and delivery of scalable build/test/release infrastructure.
• Implement new and enhanced features within our products; Take ownership and management of development releases.
• Collaborate with cross functional leaders and key stakeholders on a regular basis
• Hire highly skilled development talent required to successfully build our products
• Lead or participate in other assigned projects

What we are hoping to find in your background

• 10 or more years software development experience, preferable within a SaaS and/or enterprise environment
• 5 or more years mentoring, leading and developing teams
• Prior experience as a technical solutions architect
• Technologies: Cloud Enfrastructure, SaaS, Linus

Things that will grab our attention

• 5+ years working in a python/javascript environment
• ci/cd pipeline experience
• Experience in re-platforming
• Mobile development experience
• Oracle experience
• Devops knowledge
• Experience with geographically distributed teams
