Job Overview:



Reporting to the IT Security & Compliance Manager, the IT Security Analyst (Analyst) plays an essential role in delivering day-to-day activities within Ross Video's security operations function. This role is responsible for supporting the operational consistency of the vulnerability management programme, responding to security alerts, and helping maintain the security team's service desk activities.

The Analyst will work closely with Senior Analysts and the broader security team to carry out routine scanning, ticket triage, and risk documentation activities. This position provides a strong foundation for building skills in enterprise security and governance, offering opportunities to learn through close collaboration with more experienced team members while managing defined, impactful tasks under clear supervision.

What the job is all about:



Vulnerability Management Support: Run scheduled vulnerability scans, compile and document results, liaise with infrastructure and application owners, and support patch remediation tasks as directed. Security Alert Triage: Act as the initial responder for alerts escalated from the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) or Security Operations Centre (SOC) provider, applying standard triage processes and escalating as required. Service Desk Support: Monitor and maintain the security team's service ticket queue (via KACE), responding to common security-related questions or routing issues to other team members for advanced handling. Penetration Testing Assistance: Assist Senior Analysts with the coordination of pen testing or other security assessments, tracking findings and helping document remediation steps. Helpdesk Collaboration: Provide support to the IT Helpdesk for user questions or concerns relating to endpoint security, user permissions, or phishing investigations. Third-Party Risk Administration: Contribute to the ongoing administration of vendor and third-party risk assessments, including maintaining records, checking completeness, and assisting with follow-ups. Security Culture Support: Participate in preparing security awareness content or reminders, and contribute ideas for improving day-to-day security practices.

Who you are:



Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Up to 1 year of professional experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or information systems roles (co-op or internship experience also considered). Foundational knowledge of core IT infrastructure and security principles. Comfort working with vulnerability scanning tools, ticket systems, and spreadsheets/documentation tools. Ability to manage defined work assignments reliably, prioritize effectively, and seek guidance when faced with unfamiliar or atypical tasks. Clear and concise communication skills, with a collaborative and team-focused approach. Strong attention to detail and consistency in documenting work. Demonstrated curiosity and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
