Job Description
Our Banking Client is seeking an IT Security Analyst - 5 to support their Cloud & Platform Engineering group. This team manages governance, process audits, regulatory tracking, and budget operations for the security product and architecture function. Must-haves for this role include strong experience in audit/regulatory tracking, risk mitigation, and process documentation within application security and cloud-native application protection (AppSec/CNAPP). The successful candidate will collaborate across teams, supporting compliance initiatives and security governance for a top-tier Canadian bank.
Job Role: IT Security Analyst - 5
Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years' experience in cybersecurity
2) 5+ years' experience with project management methodologies i.e. tracking, documentation, governance reporting
3) Intermediate proficiency with Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint (create presentations for execs)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) 5+ years in either Application Security or Cloud Security is preferable
2) Hands-on experience with business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation
3) Experience from FI/Banking
4) Experience from Governance space
Soft Skills Required:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one time.
Ideal candidate has experience working in the governance space in a Bank, recent experience in AppSec/Cloud Security, excellent project/program management and delivery skills as the role will involve a lot of tracking and following up to ensure teams are delivering on their assigned tasks
