About Us

Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role

Cameco is transforming digitally and has a multitude of interesting IT projects that require an experienced project manager.

This is a one-year temporary staff position.

In this role, you will:

  • Play a pivotal role in project delivery through the planning, management, and control of projects.
  • Develop and deliver project communications including daily stand-up meetings, recurring project reporting, and governance communications.
  • Coordinate project activities across internal and external stakeholders in support of defined project schedules.
  • Create project budgets, develop project forecasts, and adjust project plans based on burn rates.
  • Liaise with external partners and vendors in support project objectives.
  • Monitoring of vendor invoicing (where required).
  • Lead project initiation and close out activities.
Required:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline
  • Five to eight years of demonstrated project management experience in successfully delivering information technology projects.
  • Project Management Institute credential or similar.
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
Recommended:
  • Experience in managing projects following agile, hybrid and waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with agile project management tools such as Trello, Jira and Microsoft Project
  • Experience in managing Microsoft SharePoint related projects
