The Clinical IT Project Manager will lead a major project (valued in excess of $2M) within a function or geography or a major workstream within the Clinical Development Operations Delivery Team. The role will work with project teams from initiation to close, to deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs. Project / Programme Managers are accountable for resolving and delivering solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments whilst meeting required quality and compliance standards! Focus areas include Risk Management and delivery of business benefit. This role is also required to follow established project management standards and chip in to continued development of the project management capability!

You will build relationships and accomplish project deadlines with key collaborators as part of a customer-facing Clinical Development Operations IT team.

Typical Accountabilities:

Agree and deliver plans for projects / programmes (or contribution in part to a larger project), including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality as defined in the IT Project Management Methodology (ADF).

Lead project / programme budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, organizational change, and status to support effective decisions and project reporting to partners and review boards.

Coordinate status and delivery of project workstreams.

Identify / lead dependencies between projects (intra-program and across portfolio).

Assure / develop service transition plans to ensure project delivered solutions are balanced within a BAU operations environment, including controlled hand-over into operational support.

Establish relationships with key partners to ensure the completion of business requirements and dedication to objectives. Responsible for steering / partner meetings, communication of status, issues, risks.

Ensure effective risks & issues management processes are in place and optimally used. Resolve problems and advance as appropriate.

Build a cohesive project team and provide the leadership vital to enhance the team\xe2\x80\x99s success. Provide individual mentor and development of team members as needed.

Lead changes to project/programme scope, ensuring that all impacts and changes are approved and appropriately communicated to collaborators and review boards.

Develop service transition plans including controlled hand-over into support and maintenance.

Ensure the project team adheres to all standards including ADF, quality, and compliance, as well as processes, defined technical capabilities, and standard methodologies. Establish program governance and lead Decision Point reviews; member Steering Committee.

Ensure expected benefits realization is consistent with project work and clearly understood by partners and project team.

Support continued development of an extraordinary center of excellence for project management capabilities and ensure that standard methodology is accepted and reinforced.

Typical project cost in the range of $100k - $1m, with a project team of up to 12 people.

As a Clinical IT Project Manager, you will also optimally collaborate with:

Supplier Management function to lead delivery of small to medium-sized supplier contracts

Internal and External Suppliers to ensure delivery of agreed products and services while ensuring alignment to AZ project delivery standards

Key business partners to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and dedication to project/program objectives

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor\'s Degree

5 years of Project Management experience in a pharmaceutical background

Proven track record and experience managing and controlling project budgets

Experience leading and developing project teams with a diverse blend of skills and capabilities

Evidence of crafting innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organization

Strong Project and Program Management Skills

Shown problem solving capabilities.

A capable knowledge of Financial Management and Benefits Delivery practices.

Broad understanding of IT systems and technology implemented within a business context.

Strong communication, relationship and consulting skills

Excellent discernment with sensitivity to environment

Desirable Education, Qualifications, and Experience

Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant field

Project / Programme Management certifications

Experience working in a global organization where partners and project team members are geographically dispersed.
