About Us
NeoHealth Heart Clinic is a rapidly growing, technology-forward cardiology practice serving Northern Ontario. We run multiple diagnostic systems (ECG, Holter, echocardiography platforms), a local server environment, and several medical software platforms (including Cerebrum, He/Lx Holter EKG analysis software). We are looking for an experienced IT professional who can take full ownership of the clinic's IT environment and support our growth.
Role Overview
We are seeking an autonomous, skilled
IT Manager / Systems Administrator
to oversee all IT operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on systems admin who enjoys managing the full tech stack -- from servers to troubleshooting -- in a healthcare setting where reliability and data protection are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the clinic's
Windows Server
, Active Directory, VPN, and backup systems
Manage network infrastructure (firewall, Wi-Fi, switches, VLANs)
Support ~20 workstations and all clinical diagnostic software
Ensure PHIPA-compliant data security, access management, and patching
Coordinate vendor support for EMR Cerebrum, imaging systems, and medical hardware
Oversee cybersecurity hygiene, including 2FA, backups, and threat mitigation
Plan upgrades, lifecycle management, and hardware procurement
Create IT SOPs and document configurations
Provide fast, effective troubleshooting to minimize clinical downtime
Qualifications
5+ years experience in IT systems administration or MSP environments
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
Experience with firewalls/VPNs (e.g., SonicWall, Fortinet, Ubiquiti)
Solid grasp of backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery
Ability to support and troubleshoot clinical software (or willingness to learn)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in healthcare IT is an asset
Must be proactive to install software upgrades on time
Must have attention to detail and take ownership of our IT systems, communicate in an excellent fashion with Management and CEO
Must be available after hours and on weekends for IT emergencies (but will hopefully establish a system so solid that emergencies don't occur)
Compensation
Compensation is negotiable and could be on an hourly basis as needed, or a part time contract. Benefits package can be negotiated if needed.
