The Network and IT Support Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic planning of an organization's IT infrastructure. This role ensures the smooth performance of network systems, resolves IT-related issues, and leads a team of IT professionals to provide excellent technical support. The manager is also responsible for implementing and maintaining IT security measures, system upgrades, and process improvements to meet business objectives.
Area of Responsibilities
Network Management
Implement, and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), wireless, and other 3rd party connectivity solutions.
Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly. - Oversee network infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and improvements.
Firewall rules - based on business needs, ensure Change request are put in for new rule or change of rule.
Coordinate with offshore support team and/or external vendors and/or service providers support as required.
IT Infrastructure Support
Lead the IT support team to provide support for hardware and network-related issues.
In collaboration with offshore teams and based on regulatory and or security requirements implement IT support policies, procedures, and best practices.
Analyze recurring technical issues and implement preventive solutions.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Support regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and security training for employees.
Ensure maintenance and control of IT Hardware inventory and application licenses.
Manage the DC/DR plan and conduct the DR Drills as per plan.
Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts for IT services and solutions.
Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units.
Strategic Planning and Budgeting
Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals.
Prepare and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Research emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned from time to time.
Travel may be required within Canada, as an when required.
Team Leadership and Training
Hire, train, and mentor IT support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Conduct performance reviews and set goals for team members.
Develop training programs to improve technical skills within the team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
