KEY REPONSIBILITIES \xc2\xb7 Work at resolving Helpdesk service requests \xc2\xb7 Provide oversight and support on escalations from Level 1 technician \xc2\xb7 Mentor helpdesk Level 1 technician to strengthen their skills. \xc2\xb7 Identify root cause and develop processes and/or use centralized services tools to eliminate problems from recurring \xc2\xb7 Participate in on-call rotation with all engineers. \xc2\xb7 Strive to maintain an understanding of our clients and their IT infrastructure needs as well as keeping up with current technology trends and changes to ensure network environments are healthy, stable, and performing at their optimum. \xc2\xb7 Deliver exceptional service and communication to clients, vendors, and peers in support of the company mission. \xc2\xb7 DAILY time entry accounting for at least 8 hours \xc2\xb7 Update of documentation of client\xe2\x80\x99s networks \xc2\xb7 Backup Maintenance and resolution \xc2\xb7 Configuration of standard email clients such as Outlook \xc2\xb7 Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customization of Microsoft Office Suite applications per customer\'s preferences \xc2\xb7 Install, configure, and test workstation hardware including video cards, NICs, sound cards, hard drives \xc2\xb7 Network Server \xe2\x80\x93 administration task for Windows Server: o Configure file and print services o Administration, including add/remove users and groups, configure file permissions, check event logs, configure, and restore from backup o Administration of enterprise e-mail application, including add/remove users and group, configure folder permissions if applicable, forward mail to other accounts, and add aliases \xc2\xb7 Day to day administration tasks for VoIP systems such as moves/adds/changes for extensions \xc2\xb7 Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete resolution \xc2\xb7 Assist Sr. Engineers on projects delivery \xc2\xb7 Assist Senior System Engineers in security and disaster recovery by applying best practices and policies for network infrastructures across all verticals, platforms, and technologies \xc2\xb7 Participate in activities of Implementation Team Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work in Canada and reside in Ottawa area \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience (Must have) \xc2\xb7 College diploma or equivalent \xc2\xb7 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent work experience \xc2\xb7 Basic Security Clearance (Eligible) \xc2\xb7 Criminal record check (Must Have) \xc2\xb7 Controlled Goods Clearance (Eligible) \xc2\xb7 Vehicle for onsite client visits/ travel expenses paid by employer (Must have) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year Benefits:
