PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

The IT Business Analyst works as a member of the IT team and with different stakeholders at Galvion in order to enhance the processes related to the utilization of the different systems and platforms used internally from design/conception to sales. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the IT business analyst will interact will the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify business goals and understand their problems and needs.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

People

  • Develop, train & support subject matter experts
  • Play a persuasive role with internal and external stakeholders on the benefits of new technologies or strategies
Process
  • Identifies metrics and measures expected and realized benefits
  • Runs workshop and training session
  • Implements new, or improved business processes and computer systems.
  • Other duties as assigned
Performance
  • Maps business processes and data, gathers documents and analyzes business needs and requirements
  • Makes recommendations aligned with the overall business goals
  • Advocates improvements in the different platforms used; prioritizes the highest returns while factoring risks, resources required and elapse time for realizing the benefits.
  • Identifies improvements to achieve greater efficiencies by reducing manual and redundant processes and by increasing automation and reliability of data
  • Solves business problems and design technical solutions (as needed)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Reasonable experience with Data extraction and manipulation skills (SQL, ODBC, Excel etc.)
  • Experience in indirect supervision
  • Experience in project management.
  • Computer proficiency:
  • E-CAD - SolidWorks PCB preferred
  • M-CAD - SolidWorks preferred
  • PLM- Arena preferred
  • ERP - SyteLine preferred
  • CRM - Salesforce preferred
  • Microsoft Office
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Office base and manufacturing environment.
  • Some travel may be required between Galvion facilities.
