Position Available: IT Architect Position Status: Co-op, Full-time Contract (May 2023- Aug 2023), 37.5 hours per week Reports to: Manager of Application Development & Architecture, Department: Information Technology Location: 5310 Explorer Drive, Mississauga

Position Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Manager of Application Development & Architecture at Ornge with the establishment of an IT Architecture Blue Print. At Ornge we are currently in the midst of documenting our existing application portfolio. In addition, the incumbent provides support to projects in the planning, architecting and implementing of IT solutions and services. This is done by developing IT architectures using methodical diagrams that define the specifications, business/IT models, implementation road map and other guidelines. The incumbent also ensures that the underlying IT architecture delivers the capabilities that address current and future business needs. Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in post-secondary education in information technology or a related field;
  • Demonstrated interest in application development and architecture;
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work with high expectation of confidentiality;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications; and
  • Organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines are essential.
