IT Analyst - Thunder Bay Mill Operations

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Thunder Bay Operations team.

Your challenges:

As the IT Analyst, you will be a key member of the Information Technology Team with responsibilities focusing on providing network, server, application, desktop and telecom support to the facility

Your primary Responsibilities will include the following:

  • First and second level support for end users.
  • Backups, monitoring, development of DR plans, maintenance of service contracts, managing contractors and consultants, resource allocation, capacity planning and strategic planning.
  • AD domain migration, file server standardization LAN upgrades, desktop imaging.
  • Demand management, license management, auditing and asset tracking.
  • Support and ensure adherence to corporate and local policies and procedures.
Your team:

Reporting to the IT Regional Manager, you will be part of a results-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceed expectations.

Your profile:
  • Computer science or equivalent degree.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience supporting a highly networked environment and upgrading and maintaining IT assets.
Your skills and assets:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment
  • Good communication skills with excellent strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives; uses organized and efficient work methods;
  • Proficient analytical skills required as well as experience with SAP, Majiq, Microsoft products, Lotus Notes, Cisco networking and Lab data entry.
