Your Opportunity:

The Cogito Business Intelligence Developer (BID) creates and manages Business Intelligence and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. The Cogito BID works with stakeholders to develop specifications and write individual reports for assigned applications to support end users, senior leadership, and the Epic team. The BID serves as the primary Epic data model resource for the Clarity/Caboodle applications, responsible for development, maintenance, analysis and change control for all components used to build and support the reporting and analytics capabilities of assigned clinical and corporate applications. The role is responsible for validating existing foundation system reports and identifying optimization and performance enhancement opportunities. The position works with Clinical Informatics and Application Reporting Leads to investigate, evaluate, and prioritize customer needs and translate specifications into information products such as reports, dashboards, extracts, cubes, new Epic modules etc. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Create complex operational and project-related reports and extracts in third party tools for implementation and ongoing support of the Epic Cogito Clarity Application. Write support documentation adhering to standards and procedures. Receive and accurately document formal client requests and work with clients to finalize requests and build requested products. Conduct meetings formally and informally, including departmental and clinical user meetings. Attend team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, and updates. This position can be located in Calgary or Edmonton, with option of remote, hybrid, or office work.

As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Required Qualifications: Completion of bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications: 3 to 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in applying knowledge and expertise in data warehousing and business intelligence developing analytical reports, dashboards and other information products. Proficiency in multiple Business Intelligence tools and methodologies. Understanding of metadata and data quality; able to navigate and interpret complex data models. Advanced skills in writing complex, relational, and multidimensional SQL queries and stored procedures. Proven problem solving and consensus-building skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences; experience conducting meetings with different audience levels. Ability to work on call. Pass Epic aptitude test or have Epic status (proficiency/certification) during recruitment process. Pass Epic Cogito certification during probation after hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic Reporting Workbench reports and extracts, Radar, and Caboodle. Epic Cogito Proficiency/Certification with Clinical Data Model for the Data Model Certified. Assets include transferable skills from development in Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, and other BI and analytic tools, as well as experience with SSMS, SSIS, Python, Jira, and ServiceNow.
