These organizations were previously known as Local Health Integration Networks (or "LHINs") at a time when they also led local health care planning and funding, and those functions are now part of Ontario Health.
Home and Community Care Support Services South East is dedicated to ensuring the ongoing delivery of local services while Ontario makes changes to improve the health care system to give patients better-connected care with health care providers working as one coordinated team in Ontario Health Teams. The south east region extends from Brighton on the west, to Prescott and Cardinal on the east, north to Perth and Smiths Falls, and back to Bancroft. Home and Community Care Support Services South East is looking for a Data Communications / Telecommunications Specialist with demonstrated experience supporting data and voice networks and equipment, network infrastructure, IP Telephony, voice services and systems. Areas of responsibility include installation, maintenance, administration and support for all telecommunications and voicemail systems, and wired and wireless data communications networks.

What will you do?
Acts as the primary contact and subject matter expert for any telecom concerns
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, administration and support of all telecommunications and voicemail systems
Monitors telecom system performance and capacity, ensuring compliance with vendor and industry standards
Assesses telecom requirements when moving offices
Maintains a business continuity plan, ensuring availability of voice services in the event of a telecom system failure
Identifies areas for efficiency and process improvements within the South East HCCSS Telecom area and recommends purchases options
Coordinates and act as liaison with vendors, telecom carriers, and partners of various organizations to resolve telecom issues
Sits on local and provincial committees to consult on telecom and voice communications
Responsible for and subject matter expert of the installation, maintenance, and operations of wired and wireless data communication networks including switches, firewalls, and cabling at all main and remote branch offices
Monitors data networks and assess network requirements
Creates and maintains network diagrams and site documentation
Responsible for and subject matter expert of Cloudli and XM Fax configuration and maintenance
Tier 3 escalation point for network and telecoms issues
Provides desktop and server support when required;
Responsible for assisting in network integration projects at community partner locations, as necessary.
What must you have? Qualifications
3 Year College diploma in Information Science/ Computer Technology or equivalent
Minimum 5 years increasingly responsible experience in computer operations, networking, programming and system development and supporting an enterprise IP voice/data network and telecom systems
Supervisory experience preferred
Superior knowledge and experience with TCP/ IP and Networking technologies, including (VOIP Routing Firewalls VLAN Cabling)
Mitel MiCloud, MiCollab, Ignite, Cloudli and XM fax experience preferred, as are Industry network or telecom certifications
Knowledge of tools and techniques for maintaining telecom systems
Understanding of the impact of technology changes on client service delivery
Knowledge of security and data privacy legislation, requirements and practices
Knowledge of Desktop and Server Operating Systems (Microsoft Server 2008 R2 and up)
Knowledge of network monitoring/logging applications and SNMP
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, IP Routing, H323 and SIP protocols
Excellent training and presentation skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to generate comprehensive reports, and convey information using business terms
Excellent project management skills
