Overview

Sirius Instrumentation and Controls Inc. is seeking an IIoT team member to keep pace with expanding product development. Reporting to the Operations Engineer, the successful candidate will provide technical support for Sirius Cloud services.

Duties

2+ years of experience in IoT development, embedded systems, or cloud applications. Ability to work with IIOT (Industrial internet of things) platform, programming and configuration setups. OTA firmware updates, debug issues and provide Field support. Proficiency in languages such as Python or JavaScript. Familiarity with IoT protocols and networking (MQTT, NB-IoT). Knowledge of security best practices for IoT systems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to read, understand schematics. Provides technical support to the Field Service and operations group. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean fundamentals. Ability to set up and operate soldering equipment. Ability to troubleshoot problems down to the component level. Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings. Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits, use Scopes, multimeters, etc.
Education:

Graduate of a diploma program in Software/Electronics. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Motivated self-starter. 2+ yrs experience in the Electronics and IoT field.
