Job Description

Our client, a Portfolio Manager based in Toronto and works with numerous High-Net-Worth Canadian Families is looking for an Investment Operations/Trade Analyst. The Investment Operations Analyst plays a key role in the operations team supporting data management, client reporting, trade processes, and problem resolution. This person will work closely with the VP of Operations and Client Services to ensure integrity of the data systems. Please note that this is an in-office role located downtown Toronto. Please also be advised that while this role is not a 100% trading role, candidates MUST have some experience trading or supporting traders. The role is a direct backup for the trader.

Snapshot of the Role:

\xc2\xb7 Ensure all client accounts have adequate cash on a daily basis.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure daily prices and FX rates are updated across the security universe.

\xc2\xb7 Setup securities and use Bloomberg to gather relevant information.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor corporate actions and ensure responses submitted to meet deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 Backup support for all duties performed by Trader.

\xc2\xb7 Assist with the preparation and validation of all client reporting.

\xc2\xb7 Perform daily account electronic reconciliation of systems to custodial records.

\xc2\xb7 Providing support on performance inquiries related to transactional data.

\xc2\xb7 Liaise with brokers, back-office personnel, and custodian to resolve any trading issues.

\xc2\xb7 Identify the need to promote workflow/system efficiency across operations and trading.

Your Key Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 University Degree in Finance, Business, Economics etc.

\xc2\xb7 CSC an asset.

\xc2\xb7 Experience Trading or supporting a Trader.

\xc2\xb7 3+ years working for a buy side (investment management, hedge, private equity) firm or financial institution in an equivalent role.

\xc2\xb7 Experience working with high-net-worth clients.

\xc2\xb7 Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel. Bloomberg experience preferred.
