Dutch Growers is looking to add a new member to the team in the role of Inventory Support & Data Admin Assistant!
This role is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse that helps keep a busy, family-owned greenhouse and retail business running smoothly. It blends organization, problem-solving, and teamwork to support inventory flow, office operations, and customer experiences during both calm days and peak seasons. From ensuring products are in the right place at the right time to helping customers and staff when things get busy, this position plays a key part in the store's success. Skills & Qualifications
- Highly organized with strong time management and task prioritization abilities
- Accurate typing skills and proficiency in Excel and digital documentation tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities under competing timelines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in data entry, administrative support, and customer service.
- Capable of multitasking effectively during busy periods
- Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively within a team
- Physically able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift to 50 pounds.
- Physically able to work in a Greenhouse environment.
- Knowledge and experience in a retail business would be an asset.
- Work scheduled hours on evenings and weekends as required.
- Be available during peak retail periods (March-June and December) time off during these periods will not be approved.
- Be available for store wide Inventory Count every January.
Inventory Support
- Assist in creating and processing purchase orders to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all departments.
- Conduct regular spot counts to verify stock on hand and identify discrepancies.
- Support inventory pricing by preparing, pricing, and verifying product details in all areas of the store.
- Able to support and assist with the offloading of trucks on shipment days.
- Ensure accuracy in all inventory records, minimizing errors and maintaining data integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve inventory issues quickly and effectively.
- Provide support during shipment and inventory days, including organizing and verifying incoming/outgoing stock.
- Maintain organized filing and documentation related to inventory and purchase orders.
Office Support
- Provide general administrative and operational support as needed, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration to meet evolving business needs.
- Help oversee all pickups and deliveries, ensuring an efficient and well-documented process.
- Answer phones, direct calls to the appropriate departments, and process sales over the phone.
- File documents as directed and provide general office support.
- Train on tills to assist cashiers during busy days or cover lunches as needed.
- Pick and pack online orders accurately for customer pickup or delivery,double-checking details to avoid errors.
- Monitor orders to ensure items are pulled correctly, processed promptly, and not left sitting too long.
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy by carefully reviewing all orders before finalizing.
Job duties and responsibilities may be modified at any time to meet organizational needs and hours vary based on seasonal business needs and individual qualifications. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may increase or decrease throughout the year.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.02-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
