Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized

Inventory Specialist

to manage and optimize inventory control processes within our office furniture manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock levels, streamline material flow, and support production efficiency while maintaining compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, components, and finished goods. Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.

Supply Chain Coordination:

Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast material requirements. Track incoming shipments and ensure timely replenishment of stock. Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules and inventory issues.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Utilize ERP systems to update inventory data and generate reports. Analyze inventory trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare monthly and quarterly inventory performance reports for management.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Ensure inventory handling complies with safety and quality standards. Support audits and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.

Experience:

3+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in manufacturing. Familiarity with office furniture components and materials is an asset.

Skills:

Proficiency in inventory software and ERP systems (e.g., Business Central). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environment.
