Inventory & Product Operations Coordinator
to support our product launches from backend setup to front-end go-live.
This role is for someone who loves structure, accuracy, and smooth operations -- the person who gets satisfaction from seeing every SKU, tag, and product detail perfectly aligned across systems.
About the Role
You will own the operational flow of Scoria's products from creation to launch. This includes setting up SKUs, managing barcodes, organizing product data, ensuring inventory accuracy across platforms, coordinating with manufacturers, and supporting new product development and purchasing.
You'll work closely with the CEO and the Operations team to ensure all new products and restocks are fully organized, uploaded, and ready to sell -- with clean data, accurate inventory, and a streamlined process.
This is a part-time role with long-term potential.
Key Responsibilities
Product Setup & Inventory Management
Create SKUs, barcodes, and product codes for all new and restocked items
Prepare products for upcoming launches (tags, collections, imagery, attributes, metafields, etc.)
Support communication with manufacturers and suppliers
Keep product files, naming conventions, and folders organized
Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to streamline processes
Support internal team members by providing accurate inventory information
Anything else related to: inventory, product, barcodes, supply chain, SKU or other.
Assist in creating Purchase Orders and tracking production timelines
Monitor incoming shipments, ETAs, and inventory forecasts
Help with new product development tasks, from early operations setup to final delivery
Track costs, quantities, delays, and updates in clean organized sheets
Upload product images; occasionally edit photos (light editing, resizing, renaming)
Assist in writing or polishing product descriptions
Coordinate with the team to ensure products go live on time and error-free
Build clear launch checklists and ensure all items are completed
Maintain product databases and ensure consistency across Shopify, inventory sheets, and fulfillment systems
Upload and update products in Shopify (titles, descriptions, tags, variant info, pricing, shipping details, etc.)
Ensure inventory sync accuracy with fulfillment partners (e.g., Darwynn)
Double-check stock levels, variant mapping, costing, and incoming quantities
Organize all product-related information and media into clean, standard formats
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Skills
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Experience with Shopify (product uploads, variants, collections, tags)
Ability to manage spreadsheets (Google Sheets / Excel) confidently
Ability to learn systems quickly and follow structured processes
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Strong written communication
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with inventory management or e-commerce operations
Light photo editing skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
Experience coordinating with manufacturers or suppliers
Knowledge of SKU creation, barcoding, or product data
Familiarity with Shopify apps like inventory sync tools or metafields
Hours & Compensation
Part-time
(15-20 hrs/week)
Mostly remote, with occasional in-person meetings in Calgary
Preset shifts schedule, yet flexible based on availability
