Position Summary
We are looking for an Inventory Coordinator based out of our Innisfail location reporting to the Distribution Centre (DC) Manager. This role will be responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse layouts, customer returns, managing bad goods processes and CHEP pallet reconciliations.

A day in the life of an Inventory Coordinator
As an Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for inventory coordination within the distribution centre; handling issues revolving inventory accuracy, bin and product maintenance, and data collection and analysis. You will be working with a team of 11 people, interacting with warehouse coordinators and supervisors, trade representatives and the DC manager.

You will also:
  • Ensure accuracy of SAP WM/EWM data: inclusive of sorting bin dimensions, bin types, pallet types, stack heights, product movement and storage. As well as running queries to investigate invalid batches/locations, productivity, and aged and held products
  • Process support and management: investigating customer returns and invalid pallets, ensuring compliance to guidelines, managing inventory cycle count and bad goods processes (ie. donations, liquidations and destroyed)
  • Assist and resolve warehouse trouble calls: inclusive of providing support for warehouse coordinators during vacations/sick leave - dependant on business needs
  • Administration of pallet contracts: inclusive of ordering, reconciling transactions and investigating all pallet related issues

As the successful candidate, you will be working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment so you will need to have strong interpersonal and time management skills. You will already have high analytical and organizational skills with a focus on an exceptional attention to detail and customer service attributes. Excellent prioritization and communication skills are essential. As an initiative driven individual, you have the ability to multi-task to thrive in our fast-paced environment and drive business results. The position also requires:
  • A high school diploma or an equivalent college diploma. BA degree considered an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a high paced distribution environment using a computerized warehouse management system. Experience working in a unionized environment deemed an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (ie. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional computer skills. Experience with SAP deemed an asset but not required
