Bayside Distribution is a component of the JDI companies, and established roots in 2020 in Halifax Nova Scotia. Bayside is warehouse and supply chain, for the Irving shipyard, supplying ship parts to build patrol ships and surface combats for the Royal Canadian Navy. Over the next 30 years Bayside will supply parts to build over 20+ ships for the Royal Canadian Navy as a part of the largest defense procurement project in Canadian\xe2\x80\x99s History.As the Inventory Controller, you will be a part of the team that is responsible for the proper flow of our product and processes through the warehouse. From receiving, selecting to shipping, cycle counting, you will learn how to manage our systems and maximize operational efficiency.Shift:Day Shift (7:30AM \xe2\x80\x93 4:00PM)Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Audit material and documentation for accuracy\xc2\xb7 Work closely with warehouse associates to achieve quality goals\xc2\xb7 Supporting the workload daily and working together with the warehouse supervisor and team\xc2\xb7 Warehouse location management\xc2\xb7 Work well in a fast-paced environment\xc2\xb7 Monitor inventory levels of product\xc2\xb7 Operate a forklift\xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as requiredRequirements

• Able to work outside in variable temperatures and weather conditions
• Position is can be physically demanding; ability to lift over 25 Lbs throughout the shift.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent work ethic and reliability.

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Eagerness to learn about our operations. Our controllers are skilled in many components, and are expected to participate in cross-training.
• Being proficient in the use computers is an asset, as we work with several systems and reporting tools. A full training session would still be provided.
• Ability to multitask and be flexible, prioritizing what needs to be done at any given time.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict time frames.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
