Job Description

The

Inventory Control Clerk

is responsible for managing and maintaining all inventory in the stockroom, including tracking incoming and outgoing parts, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring accuracy in all inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure data integrity in inventory control systems Perform regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances Track usage of parts and materials issued to technicians and job orders Monitor stock levels and reorder points to ensure adequate inventory on hand Maintain detailed records of part numbers, quantities, and vendor information Organize the stockroom for optimal accessibility, safety, and cleanliness Collaborate with the shop foreman, service department, and purchasing team to forecast parts needs and prevent shortages Identify obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving inventory and report findings

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in inventory control, stockroom, or parts management (heavy-duty, automotive, or industrial environment preferred) Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and organizational skills Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, inventory databases) Good grasp of computer skills and ability to operate inventory control systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical stockroom duties Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
