We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate data collection, and supporting demand planning processes. This position requires strong skills in data analysis and visualization, as well as experience with warehouse management systems and supply chain operations. The Inventory Associate will collaborate closely with various departments to optimize inventory flow and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Duties
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Utilize analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI to visualize data trends and support decision-making processes.
Assist in demand planning by analyzing historical data and market trends to forecast inventory needs effectively.
Manage materials management processes, including procurement, sourcing, and purchasing of inventory items.
Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to streamline order fulfillment processes and improve efficiency.
Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records within ERP systems, AS400, or other warehouse management systems.
Support e-commerce operations by ensuring timely availability of products for online sales.
Engage in negotiation with suppliers to secure favorable terms for inventory purchases.
Perform data mining and collection activities to support ongoing analysis of inventory performance metrics.
Qualifications
Proven experience in inventory management or related fields such as retail management or supply chain operations.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL for data analysis tasks.
Familiarity with materials management concepts and practices, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is highly desirable.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and third-party logistics (3PL) operations is a plus.
Ability to operate a forklift safely is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in data entry and reporting tasks.
