About the role:

As an Intranet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing visual design, site navigation & site content on the SharePoint intranet platform. Your primary focus will be managing the intranet\'s information architecture, content, and user experience to ensure it effectively supports the organization\'s internal communication, collaboration, and information management needs. You will work closely with various departments, stakeholders, and end-users to understand their requirements, monitor the health of the underlying technology platform and optimize the intranet\'s functionality and usability.

What you will do:

  • Content Management:
  • Collaborate with content owners and stakeholders throughout the organization to develop an organized and intuitive information architecture for the intranet.
  • Create and manage content publishing workflows, including content creation, review, approval, and archiving processes.
  • Work with the Sr. Internal Content Manager to ensure the intranet content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with the organization\'s goals and branding guidelines.
  • User Experience and Adoption:
  • Continuously improve the user experience of the intranet by conducting user research, analyzing user feedback, and implementing usability enhancements.
  • Develop & implement SEO diagnostics, strategies, and roadmaps, including periodic audits and recommend changes to increase search engine optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new features, functionality, and recommend integrations to meet user needs.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, user guides, and documentation to promote intranet adoption and empower users to leverage its capabilities.
  • SharePoint Intranet Management:
  • Administer, configure, and maintain the SharePoint intranet platform, ensuring it remains responsive and up-to-date.
  • Develop and implement intranet governance policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistent usage and content management practices.
  • Monitor intranet performance, conduct regular audits, and help IT team troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Monitor intranet usage metrics, generate reports, and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of the intranet and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize content, functionality, and user engagement.
Does this sound like you?:
  • Proven experience managing SharePoint intranet platforms and managing intranet solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and functionality.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint administration, site customization, and web part configuration.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and SharePoint development tools (PowerShell, SharePoint Designer).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, content owners, and end-users.
  • Experience in user research, usability testing, and implementing user-centered design principles is a plus
