About the Role:



Reporting to the Associate Director, International Recruitment, the incumbent is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract international students to Brock University. Serving as the primary representative in assigned global markets, the incumbent builds and manages relationships with prospective students and their supporters, agents, school counselors, and other key partners. The Recruitment Officer plans and participates in both in person and virtual recruitment activities such as school visits, education fairs, agent-led events, and marketing campaigns.

The International Student Recruitment Officer will:



Act as Brock's primary representative?in assigned international markets, serving as the main point of contact for recruitment and partnership development; Represent the University?to agents, government officials, educators, parents, and prospective students at events and meetings; Build and maintain strong relationships?with agents, schools, and partners through regular communication and engagement; Develop a strong network?within the international education sector to inform strategy and optimize resource allocation; Monitor and report on market trends, recruitment outcomes, and the effectiveness of events, partnerships, and strategies; Support international students from initial contact through to enrollment, providing assistance whenever needed; Plan and execute international recruitment activities?in assigned markets to increase qualified and diverse applicants to Brock; Conduct market research?to inform recruitment strategies, including education systems, scholarship opportunities, and relevant government policies; Develop and implement market-specific strategies, balancing in-person travel, virtual engagement, targeted email communication, and digital marketing; Represent Brock at recruitment events, including fairs, school visits, and presentations to prospective students, families, and partners; Maintain expert knowledge?of Brock's programs, admissions policies, and work with RCIC/RISIA colleagues who can speak to Canadian immigration regulations to effectively support applicants; Identify, explore, and assess new opportunities for recruitment and partnerships within countries where Brock has an existing presence; Liaise between international partners and relevant Brock staff to explore opportunities for new programs and customized options.

Key Skills and Experience:



Undergraduate degree in a related discipline (e.g., communication, business, international relations or intercultural studies). The equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered; International travel required (valid passport), and a valid G-class driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract; Experience at a post-secondary institution developing and implementing strategy, conducting market research, making presentations, and successfully promoting services; Strong understanding of international student markets, education systems, and regional recruitment dynamics; Ability to develop culturally appropriate, targeted messaging for diverse audiences and academic programs; In-depth knowledge of Brock University's programs, admissions policies, student services, and the broader university environment; Familiarity with Canadian immigration policies and their implications for international students; Excellent intercultural communication skills, with demonstrated sensitivity and adaptability in cross-cultural contexts; Promotes and embodies inclusivity and respect within the workplace and the broader community; Strong presentation, public speaking, and digital communication skills, including proficiency with multimedia tools; Proficient in MS Office, CRM systems, web content management, and emerging recruitment technologies; Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail; Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse partners, including students, agents, and institutional partners; Flexible, collaborative, and solutions-oriented, with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to inclusivity.

Preferred or Asset Skills:



Experience with educational agent management; Experience with data collection and analysis to inform strategic enrollment initiatives; and Ability to communicate in multiple languages.

Salary and Total Rewards:



Job Grade L, Salary Scale ($66,817-$108,353); Target Hiring Range: $66,817-$74,000 This is a permanent position that includes:

The final salary is based on experience, internal equity, and budget considerations within the target hiring range.*
