The Role
Birmingham International Collegiate of Canada (BICC) is seeking an International Student Recruitment & Admission Officer to promote our academic programs and services to prospective Vietnamese students. The Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated, comprehensive recruitment strategy specifically targeted to the Vietnamese market. This will include communication, business development, and marketing efforts, in addition to managing all recruitment activities, enrollment, and admission processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing strategic initiatives to aggressively recruit Vietnamese students and meet enrollment targets, while ensuring that students have a positive and engaging experience. Additionally, the Officer will identify and develop new revenue opportunities that contribute to BICC's financial growth and support our academic vision and high-quality customer services to Vietnamese students both within Toronto and abroad.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in international student recruitment, with a strong understanding of the Vietnamese market. Fluency in Vietnamese and English is required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and experience in marketing and business development is a plus."
Responsibilities
Advises international students in issues related to application, admission, program and course selection, registration, transfer, and graduation procedure of BICC;
Coordinates and/or provides various types of orientation programs for international students on a regular basis, including social, cultural, safety-related, academic and college and university system-related information;
Monitors progress of international students and provides ongoing support, referring students for professional assistance, when appropriate;
Prepares and updates documents such as orientation information booklets, manuals and other publications for international students;
Recruits international students under the supervision of the Manager and Director
Makes recommendations to the Manager and Director in developing and implementing a student recruitment strategy for a specific market or markets;
Represents Birmingham International Collegiate of Canada, in Canada or abroad, at study education fairs or foreign institutions, including making presentations to international students and international education agents
Makes recommendations to the Manager of BICC in implementing institutional linkage programs;
Coordinates administrative functions of the enrolment of international students into BICC's programs, including communicating with representatives of foreign institutions and international education agents;
Carries out other related duties as assigned by the Manager and Director.
