International Student Counseling Specialist or Overseas Study Advisor.Tsintai Immigration - Richmond Hill,ONPosition Summary: As an International Student Counselor, you will play a key role in ensuring the success and well-being of international students. Your responsibilities will includeAcademic Advising: Provide personalized academic advice to international students to help them understand program requirements and make informed decisions about their programs.Cultural integration: Facilitate programs and workshops that promote cultural understanding and integration, creating a supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.Immigration Support: Keep up-to-date with the latest immigration regulations and guide students through the visa process, work permits and other related matters.Student Advocacy: Advocate for the needs of international students and act as a liaison between students and various campus resources.Emergency Support: Assist international students in critical situations by providing support and resources to ensure their safety and well-being.Job Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related fieldExperience in international student counseling or related work.Excellent knowledge of immigration regulations and policies.Excellent cross-cultural communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment.Understanding of higher educationMandarin requiredCantonese Cantonese may be requiredVietnamese Malasian may be requiredJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual, Internship / Co-opSalary: From $16.50 per hourExpected hours: 10 - 30 per weekFlexible Language Requirement:
