We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Internal Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The Internal Service Advisor supports the service department ensuring clear communication of customer needs and related workflow requirements. They co-ordinate repairs, maintenance and other service requests on a timely basis while maintaining accurate detailed records, including collection of diagnostic information. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Previous dealership experience and automotive knowledge are an asset for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Documents vehicle problems by listening to customers describe them and by asking probing questions.
Maintains extensive contact with customers, phoning to provide estimates on service and repairs before jobs are begun, explaining the appointments/scheduling systems to customers, and establishing with customers the method of payment for repairs (cash, warranty, etc.).
Communicates constantly with Technicians to obtain information on needed vehicle repairs.
Recommends additional maintenance and repair services to customers when appropriate.
Estimates time of service or repair job for purposes of efficient scheduling
Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with other departments
Works independently, managing workflow and deadlines.
Protect themselves and others by working safely within the dealership and industry safety program/recommendations
Qualifications/Skills:
Knowledge of automotive systems and warranty and service/insurance policies
Ability to explain systems and repairs to customers of varying levels of technical understanding
Mathematical aptitude and proven computer skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with constant interruptions
Valid Manitoba driver's license with clean driving record.
