Intern, Data Migration




This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11, 2026, until August 28, 2026.

Job Summary




The Intern, Data Migration Analyst is responsible for collaborating with Data Migration to support the Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) business transformation that CN is currently undertaking. The incumbent performs data migration roadmap. The position carries out tasks related to the current data and data structures that constitute the new environment, including master and transactional data objects identification, data profiling and quality assessment, establish data cleansing strategies and their implementation, iterative data validation runs, and corrective actions prior to mock-ups and actual production migrations. The role contributes to the data enrichment activities and mapping as well as the transformations required to meet the updated business processes requirements, including mapping validation, troubleshooting, reconciliation prior to mock-ups, and actual production migrations.


Major Responsibilities





Data-related Tasks Associated to the As-Is Environment - 50%



Support the data team in accomplishing tasks Identify data objects and profile quality Clean data object strategies and their implementation Clean validation and implement corrective measures


Data-related Tasks Associated to the To-Be Environment - 50%



Identify data mapping and transformation requirements according to the business process re-engineering efforts Sandbox assessment of data mapping and transformation methods as well as algorithms Validate runs and implement corrective measures

Requirements





Interest in managing data, including its meaning, attributes, characteristics, and business value Interest in business processes and how data interrelates with those processes Applies critical thinking Interest in identifying issues and applying resolution in complex data sets Interest in handling data Knowledge of Excel and other equivalent productivity tools Evaluates data compliance with business rules such as quality metrics Applies cleansing strategies, mapping, and transformation rules as well as analyze the outcome, determine, and apply corrective measures Communicates with impact Collaborates with others and shares information

Education



Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Technical or Business fields with interest in data management, including business analysis and processes, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, and Engineering
