The ALS Society of Canada (ALS Canada) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Intern, Communications to join our team. As a member of the Marketing, Strategic Communications, and Knowledge Exchange team, you will be working closely with the Vice-President Marketing, Strategic Communications, and Knowledge Exchange as well as the Manager, Digital Communications and Content Strategy while supporting the team with various projects.

Responsibilities
Researching and analyzing information to inform strategic decision-making.
Will be responsible to analysis the data and create project goals regarding the services provided by ALS Canada based on feedback from the community, review our data collection and help determine areas of focus and improvement.
Create new/additional resources/materials for the ALS Canada program with target audiences being Health Care Professionals and introduction to the program to clients primarily in the form of digital communication.
Sustainability of the program - to aid long term scenario planning.
Assist in reviewing current program model and provide recommendations to the team.
Actively contributing to team meetings.
Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration program or another related field.
Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Autonomy and ability to work methodically and independently.
Good judgment and discretion.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel & Power Point.
Experienced using database systems is an asset.
Willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.
A keen interest in the organization's mission and mandate and desire to help make a difference to people and families living with ALS.
Commitment to ALS Canada's core values and modelling them to others.
