Accounting

and Assurance

- Performing compilation and assurance engagements from collecting information to completing the files. Keeping up-to-date of the accounting and assurance standards and complete the files in compliance with our standardized workflow.

Tax

- Working proficiently with all aspects of tax filings, including T1 and T2 returns, T3, T4, T5, T1134 and T1135 information returns, T3 trust returns, and UHT returns, etc. and keeping up-to-date of the tax changes. Dealing with CRA audits and reviews for corporate and personal accounts.

Payroll and Bookkeeping

- performing and guiding juniors on payroll calculations, bookkeeping and investment write-ups, using payroll program, QuickBooks Online or Desktop and Excel spreadsheets, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

A staff accountant with at least 2 years of experience in a Canadian CPA firm;

Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian assurance standards;

Proficiency with CaseWare, CaseView, TaxCycle or another popular tax program, QuickBooks Online and Desktop;

Deadline driven and willing to work overtime in evenings/weekends during busy season and at request in order to meet deadlines;

Taking initiative to research on outstanding accounting and tax issues independently before resorting for help;

Technology savvy in paperless environment;

Strong interpersonal and written skills for communicating effectively with clients, CRA and colleagues;

Trilingual in English, Cantonese and Mandarin;

Detail-oriented, long-term commitment, a fast learner and being able to think beyond what is required.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
