The Opportunity:



We are looking for an Intermediate Project/Sales Engineer who thrives on variety and ownership. This role offers the perfect mix: mechanical and process design, customer collaboration on material handling challenges, estimating, sales, and full project management. About the Role:



Develop comprehensive project quotations by reviewing RFQs, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and aligning proposals with client requirements and company standards. Drive business growth by sourcing and developing new client opportunities through strategic follow-up on inbound leads and proactive outbound engagement via calls and email campaigns. Convert qualified leads into confirmed projects by applying technical insight and solution-based selling to achieve monthly business objectives. Develop detailed design drawings for conveyor layouts, structural steel, carriers, and associated components in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards. Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery by coordinating resources, mitigating risks, and maintaining alignment with client requirements. Monitor project budgets, perform cost-benefit analyses, and suggest cost-saving solutions without compromising quality Identifies opportunities to optimize designs, processes, and workflows for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Troubleshoots equipment operating issues and recommends short-term and long-term resolutions. Ensure all designs and project implementations meet regulatory, safety, and industry standards. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Travel as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:



Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. 5+ years of project management experience from inception to completion. Multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge with the ability to develop practical, cost-effective solutions. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks) for creating detailed, technical design drawings. Familiarity with project management tools and CRM software General understanding of steel fabrication processes (cutting, punching, welding). Ability to perform general beam loading, torque and HP calculations for design purposes. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to listen actively and communicate effectively with clients and team members. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver tailored solutions. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently. Sales experience, preferred*; role involves reconnecting with previous customers or pursuing new business opportunities - though majority of customers contact us directly; minimal cold-calling.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
