KTI Engineered Solutions is looking for a talented and driven Intermediate Project Engineer who is looking to lead designs and contribute to a growing and ambitious team. We are a dynamic and innovative company working in the natural gas industry, seeking a skilled engineer to join our group.

We're now seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to contribute to our ongoing success.
As part of our ambitious growth strategy, this role will support our project initiatives, and the successful candidate will be asked to lead the design on projects. The scope of our current projects involves multiple discipline design work and direction of engineering resources will be a key part of the job. For the smaller projects that we have in house, the role will review technical documents and stamp as required.
General Responsibilities:
Review and update drawings (P&ID's, GA Drawings, fabrication drawings, etc.)
Stamp required drawings for construction
Review customer specifications and ensure design compliance
Work with vendors to size process equipment such as pumps, filters, line heaters, regulators, control valves, etc.
Manage design from vendors and engineering consultants to confirm drawings that meet functionality requirements of the projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, analyze, and develop mechanical piping systems for natural gas processing facilities including regulation, gas pre-heat, relieve valve sizing, piping velocities, hoop stress calculations, etc.
Travel to site locations across Canada, including customer offices, vendor facilities and provide design input
Utilize CAD software and other relevant tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and layouts.
Provide technical expertise during project execution, ensuring adherence to industry codes, standards, and regulations. Prepare or assist with RFP responses
Participate in project meetings, presenting design proposals and progress reports to stakeholders.
Lead or participate in project design review meetings
Participate in project update meetings with our customers and contractors
Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager
Education and Experience:
Engineering Degree, with P.Eng. designation in a Canadian Province is required
Minimum 3-5 Years in a related role
Strong attention to detail
Experience in gas piping design or related industries
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) for creating detailed designs
Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (CSA, particularly Z662, ASME, ANSI, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound engineering judgments
Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and presenting ideas
Electrical design exposure would be an asset
This role is currently a hybrid role operating 3 days in the office or as other work travel requires.
