As we continue to expand, we are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. About the opportunity: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in the design and manufacturing of industrial baking machinery. This position offers end-to-end involvement in projects, including onsite visits for installations, repairs, and maintenance, which may require international travel due to our global customer base. Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities: * Create 3D designs to meet customer requirements, while ensuring quality and compliance with engineering standards. * Contribute to preliminary design with conceptual ideas and principles. * Develop final solutions for various equipment, adhering to agreed-upon design concepts. * Ensure designs comply with safety standards. * Facilitate standardization of parts and machines to reduce costs and product cycle times. * Perform engineering calculations and develop general layouts of equipment. * Fabricate and assemble designs on floor, complete factory acceptance testing, trials, and troubleshooting with clients. * Review work progress and monitor completion by junior personnel. * Resolve manufacturing problems and provide onsite support as needed. Qualifications: * A minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience * An Engineering Technician degree or higher * Experience in 3D parametric modeling and 2D drawing * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and MS Office * Strong technical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities as it relates to design automation, capital equipment, robotics, etc. * An applied understanding of Lean and experience in design and cost estimation * Experience leading others while providing coaching and mentoring * Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines * An independent and collaborative work ethic * Strong creativity and meticulous attention to detail * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills * SAP experience is an asset * Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and Passport required for travel (travel estimated at 10%) Like what you\xe2\x80\x99re hearing so far, but still wondering if ABI LTD is right for you?
