We are looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. Qualifications (Minimum):
  • Interior Design Diploma/Degree from a CIDA recognized College or University Program
  • 3-5 years experience at an Interior / Architectural Design firm with a focus on residential design
  • Proficiency in Sketch-up, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office required
  • Experience developing interior design packages for client presentation and builder coordination
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience communicating with clients and trades
  • Organized and diligent, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work responsibly, both in a team environment and independently
  • Enthusiastic, with a desire to further develop one\xe2\x80\x99s career as an interior designer
  • Familiarity with Ontario Building Code an asset
  • NCIDQ/ ARIDO licensing (or working towards) an asset
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and personal transportation required
Duties (Minimum):
  • Collaborate with fellow designers to develop conceptual designs for clients
  • Prepare client presentation material (3D Sketchup models, 2D floor plans, design packages, sample boards, etc.)
  • Assist fellow designers in the completion of interior elevations, floor plans, electrical plans, ceiling plans, fixture schedules, etc.)
  • Source, coordinate, and specify FF&E products for interior projects
  • Coordinate with co-workers, trades, suppliers, builders, and clients to ensure new information is properly relayed to all involved parties
  • Attend site/ supplier/ client meetings when necessary
  • Maintain company\xe2\x80\x99s supplier library and keep up to date with new products when applicable
