We're currently looking for an
Intermediate Bookkeeper
to join our
Client Services Team
-- someone who thrives on variety, loves solving problems, and takes pride in accuracy and client satisfaction.
Your Role
You'll be an integral part of our client-focused bookkeeping and accounting team, providing full-cycle bookkeeping support to a wide range of small business clients. This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to continue building a long-term career in a public practice.
Responsibilities:
Manage
full-cycle bookkeeping
for multiple clients on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Process
payroll
and prepare related reports and government remittances
Prepare year-end working papers and support Notice to Reader financial statement preparation
Communicate with clients and the CRA to follow up on requests and provide updates
Support corporate and personal tax teams as needed
Contribute ideas for process improvement and client efficiency
What You Bring:
2+ years of bookkeeping experience (public practice preferred)
Proficiency with
QuickBooks
(QBO certification an asset)
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organization and time management skills -- able to juggle multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Personal tax or ProFile experience an asset (training available if interested)
Post-secondary education in accounting or related field
