Are you a detail-driven accounting professional looking to grow your career in a collaborative and supportive environment? Our client, a well-established and close-knit organization, is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate brings full-cycle accounting experience and is either actively pursuing their CPA designation or is strongly motivated to begin the program. You'll work closely with a team that values mentorship, precision, and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:

• Perform accurate and timely accounting functions, including month-end reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and file GST returns in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Maintain monthly financial reporting and documentation.
• Record and post real estate closings with accuracy.
• Oversee accounting related to the property management and leasing portfolio.
• Track insurance documents and ensure compliance.
• Update and maintain asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with year-end budgeting, audit preparation, and financial analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and contribute to operational improvements.
• Provide general administrative support such as organizing and filing documentation.
• Take on additional tasks to support the Accounting Team as needed.

Education:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
• Enrolled in or planning to pursue the CPA designation.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a full-cycle accounting role.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, collaborative approach, but comfortable working independently.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion with confidential information.

Base Salary: $70,000 - 75,000 per year

• Salary based on experience.
• Full benefits package included.

Work Hours:

• 8:00am - 4:00pm.
• Monday to Friday.

Remote Work:

• This position is not remote and required to be on-site.

• This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
