Updates and maintains various software programs, websites and files associated with the Unit\'s products
Reviews, verifies and codes invoices for payment
Follows up on outstanding receivables
Processes bank deposits, monitors bank balances and recommends liquidating securities
Maintains petty cash fund
Assists Manager with year-end audit
Processes monthly general ledger entries and runs month end reports
Processed sales tax filings
Reconciles claim, accounting and bank accounts on a monthly basis.
Acts as the customer service representative by providing product knowledge and expertise for products delivered by the Unit
Other duties as assigned
About You
College Diploma in accounting an asset
3 years experience in an accounting capacity, preferably in an insurance industry
Strong software exposure and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Good communication skills ( ability to create, compose and edit written materials)
Motivated, high energy team player
Pay Rate $29 - $32/hour
