About The Opportunity
- Updates and maintains various software programs, websites and files associated with the Unit\'s products
- Reviews, verifies and codes invoices for payment
- Follows up on outstanding receivables
- Processes bank deposits, monitors bank balances and recommends liquidating securities
- Maintains petty cash fund
- Assists Manager with year-end audit
- Processes monthly general ledger entries and runs month end reports
- Processed sales tax filings
- Reconciles claim, accounting and bank accounts on a monthly basis.
- Acts as the customer service representative by providing product knowledge and expertise for products delivered by the Unit
- Other duties as assigned
- College Diploma in accounting an asset
- 3 years experience in an accounting capacity, preferably in an insurance industry
- Strong software exposure and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Good communication skills ( ability to create, compose and edit written materials)
- Motivated, high energy team player
$29 - $32/hour
