Job description INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER - FREELANCE Opening for intermediate interior designer able to lead a project from conception to the final styling - start to finish. We design for our clients so you have to have the ability to decipher a clients aesthetic through a series of discussions/consultations and develop an interior design plan that delivers on this simple mission. Studio 1NINE1 does not ascribe to a one \xe2\x80\x9cstyle\xe2\x80\x9d fits all design philosophy, so, if you like being creative and working on completely different projects all the time, this is the job for you. JOB DESCRIPTION Work in collaboration with the Principal interior designer on project ideation, concept and look & feel
Following client approval of the Look & Feel \xe2\x80\x93 manage and oversee full project process, including:

• Development of interior design plans
• Overall layout (space planning)
• Furniture plan
• Lighting / Electrical Plan \xe2\x80\x93 including sourcing and specifying all lighting
• Plumbing plan \xe2\x80\x93 including sourcing and specifying all plubming
• Custom millwork \xe2\x80\x93 including custom millwork design and specification
• All plans to be submitted to AutoCAD Technical designer for development\xc2\xb7
• Liasing with the AutoCad Technical designer on any changes/updates to the plans

Development of Interior D\xc3\xa9cor plan:

• Furniture (custom and retail) \xe2\x80\x93 including sourcing, specifying
• All soft goods (drapery, toss cushions, rugs) \xe2\x80\x93 including sourcing, specifying
• D\xc3\xa9cor, Accessories and Artwork \xe2\x80\x93 including sourcing and specifying

Development of Project Interior Design Budget

• Keep accurate and precise estimate and records of all proposed elements

Development of Design Plan to the Client(s) that includes; workback schedule, layout, furniture/d\xc3\xa9cor plan, lighting /electrical plan, reflected ceiling plan, pluming plan, custom millwork Development of the Contractor package that includes; Workback schedule, Layout, Furniture/Decor Plan, Lighting/Electrical Plan, Reflected Ceiling Plan, Plumbing Plan, Custom Millwork Development of the FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) for the contractor Work on collaboration with internal and external parties

• Studio 1NINE1 Operations Lead
• Vendors and Manufacturers
• Contractors

All administrative tasks (order tracking and financial) to be managed via software (Design Docs, CLICKUP, Google Drive) Other \xe2\x80\x93 Also Very Important Resolve issues and problem solve \xe2\x80\x93 this means in the office and on site You must be organized and detail oriented \xe2\x80\x93 as you know this job is 2% glamour and 98% Details, Paper, Details, Paper, and more Details You are comfortable speaking to contractors on site and conveying the design vision You are comfortable with presenting your design ideas to clients, Studio 1NINE1 principal designers and contractors You are comfortable with picking up the phone and calling a vendor or client Background + Experience:

• Interior Design Or Decorating Degree or Diploma
• Related design experience a must (4+years)
• Conceptual design and presentation experience through AutoCAD or other 3D programs an asset
• Ability to hand sketch an asset
• Strong administrative background with understanding of business accounting principals
• Proficiency in Design Docs an asset
• Strong self starter and can work with minimal direction
• Very strong communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 verbal and written
• Proficient in all office related software (Office 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GoogleDocs)
• Proficiency in Design Docs, ClickUP, InDesign an asset but not required
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle and cell phone

Other requirements:

• During working hours/days \xe2\x80\x93 must be available to answer email, phone calls and/or text in a timely manner

Compensation + \xc2\xb7 $30-35/hr paid as a freelancer \xe2\x80\x93 note this is a position that is project based \xe2\x80\x93 estimated duration of 12-14 weeks @ 20hrs per week \xc2\xb7 Our studio is located at 1655 Dupont St \xe2\x80\x93 this position is welcome at the office any time \xc2\xb7 You will be required to submit your project related mileage and expenses every 2 weeks (we reimburse project parking and project related milage at .59/km calculated) \xc2\xb7 Currently this position is only open to those individuals that reside in Toronto All of our projects are currently located in the GTA Job Type: Freelance Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits:
