Addison Grace Design is a design firm specializing in residential and commercial projects. We believe that exceptional design has the power to elevate spaces and enrich the lives of those who experience them. We are currently looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Interior Design Assistant to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements.
Liaise between Interior Designer and client
Develop design concepts, mood boards, and spatial layouts that align with client vision and functionality.
Review floor plans, elevations, and detailed drawings and accuracy.
Communicate effectively with the design team to ensure accurate drawings and details.
Source fixtures, materials, and accessories that complement the design vision and budget.
Create specification documentations
Prepare and present design proposals, ensuring clarity and client buy-in.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure smooth project execution.
Work with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure design integrity throughout construction and installation.
Stay current with design trends, materials, and best practices in the interior design industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is considered an asset.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in interior design.
Knowledge in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Layout, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, etc.).
Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Excel.
Strong understanding of colour theory, space planning, design principles, building practice, and building code.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A portfolio that demonstrates creative design solutions and high-quality execution.
