Almage Senior Community Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Interim Executive Director
to lead our organization during a one-year maternity leave replacement. Located in east-end Montreal, Almage is committed to enriching the quality of life of English-speaking seniors by fostering an atmosphere of friendship, trust, and meaningful social connection.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Interim Executive Director will provide overall leadership and direction for the organization, overseeing daily operations while advancing Almage's mission, outreach, funding, and communications. This role is ideal for a values-driven leader who is deeply concerned about the well-being of seniors at risk of social exclusion and who brings strong organizational, community engagement, and leadership skills to a dynamic community-based setting.
Detailed job description (START DATE JANUARY 5TH) - 1 year maternity leave replacement
Make sure to maintain an overview, adequate and continuous planning promoting the consolidation, proper functioning and development of the organization.
Make the organization and its services known to the community, establish community and corporate partnerships. Ensure representations to significant bodies on behalf of Almage.
Look for development and financing opportunities. Develop grant applications and follow up with donors.
Ensure effective management, support and supervision of Almage's human resources. Foster their development, support their initiatives and mobilize them.
Ensure an effective complaints management mechanism.
Promote the inclusion of users and fight against the stigmatization of different cultural communities.
Ensure efficient and transparent financial management.
Ensure the management of the premises so that they are safe for users, volunteers and employees.
Ensure effective collaboration with the Board of Directors and the holding of the annual general meeting.
Maintain a balance between strong leadership and autonomy with the willingness and ability to work collaboratively with the board.
Develop and maintain a strategic vision

Pay: $70,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
