The Executive Director (Interim) is responsible for the successful administrative support of the management team and entrusted with the fulfillment of the mission, vision, and strategic planning of the organization involving the planning, organizing, analysis, and administration of all operations directly or through reports.
Key Areas of Accountability
1. Overall administration of the organization, including human and financial resources.
2. Work with Board of Directors to support vision, strategic planning and oversight for the organization.
3. Promote effective relationships with staff, partner organizations, and community residents.
Qualifications
1. Degree in education, health administration, social work or equivalent.
2. Five years or more of progressive program, financial and human resource management experience in a voluntary sector organization.
3. Knowledge and / or experience in the following areas:
a. community development, research, education, public policy;
b. program planning, implementation and evaluation;
c. secondary education system, particularly the Winnipeg School Division;
d. anti-oppression/equity perspective, cultural competency;
e. budgets and finance;
f. management and administration, including human resources
4. Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
5. Knowledge and experience working towards systemic decolonization utilizing the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, UNDRIP, and the MMIWG Calls to Justice.
6. Other languages an asset, specifically languages of the community.
