About Us



Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta (RGA) is a non-profit, volunteer-led sports organization dedicated to promoting and supporting rhythmic gymnastics across the province of Alberta. We strive to create meaningful opportunities for children, youth, and adults to participate, learn, and thrive through sport. Our community is founded on teamwork, inclusion, and a shared passion for rhythmic gymnastics.

Position Summary



We are seeking a full- time interim

Executive Director

to help lead and support the day-to-day operations of our organization. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, community-minded, and passionate about grassroots sport. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and volunteers to ensure programs run smoothly, support our members, and help grow the sport within our community.

Key Responsibilities



1. Organizational Support & Leadership



Work with the Board of Directors to advance the organization's mission and strategic goals. Provide regular updates to the Board on programs, operations, and finances. Support Board committees and assist with meeting coordination and planning. Provide leadership and support to additional staff

2. Administration & Operations



Manage membership registrations, communications, and day-to-day administrative tasks. Coordinate programs, events, and community activities. Maintain accurate and organized records, including policies, forms, and reports.

3. Financial Management



Support the development, monitoring, and tracking of the annual budget. Prepare, submit, and manage grant applications and associated reporting. Maintain accurate financial documentation and work with the Treasurer to ensure transparency and accountability.

4. Communications & Community Engagement



Serve as the main point of contact for members, clubs, and community partners. Share organizational updates and news through email, social media, and the website. Foster strong relationships with volunteers, parents, and other sport organizations.

5. Program & Event Coordination



Support planning and delivery of events, competitions, training sessions, and development opportunities. Help recruit and coordinate volunteers, coaches, and officials. Promote participation and help create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all.

Qualifications & Skills



Experience in sport administration, community programming, or non-profit work management is an asset. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proficient with using email, basic office software, and social media platforms. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Passionate about community sport and supporting volunteer-led initiatives. Knowledge of rhythmic gymnastics or the Alberta sport system is an asset but not required. Experience guiding, mentoring, and supporting employees to achieve performance and development goals.

Working Conditions



Full-time position (approximately 35 hours average per week). Flexible work hours - occasional evenings or weekends will be required for events or meetings. Option to work remotely, with some in-person activities as needed.

Compensation



Please include salary expectations in your application. Please note the final offer will reflect the successful candidate's experience and expertise. Contract term: 1-year maternity leave coverage with the possibility of extension.
