The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Integrated Workforce Planning, the Integrated Workforce Planning Lead leads the multidisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of integrated workforce planning for their NSH zone and provincial portfolio. The Integrated Workforce Planning Lead plays a key role in supporting the NSH Workforce Planning team to deliver exceptional service to senior leaders in achieving integrated workforce planning and ensuring there is alignment between workforce planning and NSH\xe2\x80\x99s mission, visions and strategic plan. They will be responsible to support zone operations in workforce planning, facilitating best practice and resource plan frameworks, and expected to collaborate and lead discussions with senior leaders. With a focus on integration and continuous improvement, this role collaborates with operational leaders (and other key stakeholders within the zone) to ensure zone resources are available to meet demand and service standards. This role is critical in supporting a high performing team that focuses on integration, continuous improvement and ensures experience is always consistent with NSH values.

This is a provincial position and can be aligned with any of the sites across the province.

About You

  • 5-7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in health care and /or planning capacity
  • Experience in forecasting and planning with strong operations background, preferably in workforce planning
  • Experience in the achievement of targets in an operational environment
  • Knowledge of workforce planning quality assurance frameworks, best practices and trends
  • Knowledge and understanding of health professions and labour regulations is desirable
  • Strong organizational and process management skills
  • Sound knowledge and skill working in a team setting
  • Ability to think critically, quickly, and accurately; creative problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated leadership in facilitation with multiple stakeholders and service providers
  • Proven ability to build, enhance, foster, and maintain effective relationships
  • Superior communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 written, oral, presentation
  • Demonstrated high degree of independent decision making, self-direction, motivation, and team building/leadership skills
  • Demonstrated high level of judgement to make independent decisions related to responsibilities
  • Coordination and Strategy/Project Management Skills
  • Understanding of Behaviour Change Techniques
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of business systems and processes including practical application/use of Microsoft suite of products and other tools, data analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Demonstrated Cultural Competence
  • Desktop publishing an asset
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Salary Information

$37.66 - $47.07 hourly
$73,433 - $91,790 annually
