Intake Worker
to provide essential operational and administrative support to our Language Assessment and Referral Program. As the first point of contact for clients or Settlement Serrvice providers, you will be at the heart of creating a welcoming environment that sets the tone for their journey to success. Reporting to the Program Manager, our selected candidate will support the delivery and coordination of language assessment and referral services, ensuring adherence to operating standards and protocols. Key tasks include screening applicants to validate eligibility for services, scheduling assessments, managing client interactions, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves liaising with Language Assessors and Program Managers, supporting clients with special needs, and fostering community engagement by building partnerships with local organizations. The Intake Worker will also assist in reporting, data management, and ensure compliance with privacy policies.

Qualifications
==================
The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education or relevant experience in social services or office administration, with experience working with newcomers, vulnerable populations, and/or volunteers. Administrative experience and knowledge of LINC or Adult ESL programs are an asset, as well as a Level 1 First Aid certificate, Class 5 Driver's License, and a reliable vehicle.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Flexibility, cultural sensitivity, and a team-oriented attitude are key attributes.
This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
